Edwin Arends is an engineer, renewable energy executive, and international deal-maker with over 20 years of experience across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the United States. He has built a large, trusted global network and a strong track record in trading, sourcing, and connecting buyers and sellers across the energy value chain.
As Managing Director of AB Solar International, he has originated, structured, and delivered over 300 MWp of solar projects in West Africa, working with major industrial clients including Guinness Ghana, Cargill, and Miro Plywood. His strength lies in turning opportunities into executed deals—aligning suppliers, financiers, and off-takers across borders.
Previously, Edwin founded and scaled Arends Techniek in the Netherlands into one of the country’s fastest-growing solar companies, winning the FD Gazellen Award and completing nearly 3000 installations, while building a powerful European supplier and trading network. In 2025, Edwin was awarded as C.E.O of the year in the renewable Energy space in Ghana West Africa.

Tarick Bouhamidi is a senior commercial and business development professional with over 15 years of international experience across energy, renewables, and physical commodities. He has a proven track record in originating, structuring, and executing complex transactions, combining strategic oversight with hands-on operational involvement.
He has worked on investment and energy projects alongside board-level and C-suite executives, including former UBS board members, contributing to commercial strategy, deal structuring, and investor alignment. His experience spans Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, with direct exposure to physical refined products trading, including ULSD 10 ppm, gasoil, and LNG, operating across CIF and FOB structures.
Tarick is known for his execution-driven approach, discretion, and ability to bridge investors, traders, and technical stakeholders to move transactions from opportunity to completion.

Marjan Arends is a senior operations executive and business partner with over 20 years of experience in project execution, corporate structuring, and international operations. She has been a long-term business partner to Edwin Arends, working side by side for more than 26 years in building, scaling, and operating energy and engineering companies.
As Project Operations Manager and CEO at AB Solar International, ManoCap, and Dutch Sustainable Energy Group, Marjan has led procurement, logistics, marketing, and business development for large-scale solar projects across Ghana, Sierra Leone, Togo, Benin, and the Netherlands, ensuring delivery in complex, multi-country environments.
Previously, as CEO of Arends Techniek, she co-built the fastest-growing solar company in the Netherlands, winning the FD Gazellen Award, and was named one of the most influential businesswomen in the country for three consecutive years (2014–2016). Her background spans procurement, engineering, and R&D roles at Combimac, Fresenius Hemocare, and Philips.
